SHELDON RAMPTON, Comedonchisciotte.org
possono scaricare, oppure anche giocarci “on line”...

BIBLIOTECHE U.S.A. CONTRO LA GUERRA
Bibl'aria

New Orleans Mon Amour
RevolutionaryFlowerpotSociety
...The true Reality of the existence of the citizens of the so-called First
World has now been clearly established to include the sacrifice of entire
cities, not only in faraway places such as Iraq or Afghanistan or Groznyy,
i.e. in the Colonies, but even in artistic heartlands of the Colonizer
countries. This, of course, should lead us to conclude that there has
ALWAYS been a Third World, exactly and physically at the heart of every
belly of every First World B! east. In times of ‘normality’ it is simply
easily forgotten by those who manage the circus side of the bread-n-circus
show. But, when disasters as huge as this befall the already-poor, the
point becomes harder to cover up. Look at the price the rulers are willing
to pay, and don’t look away!!...

"Where were these noble, high humanitarian feelings hiding?"
Faiza Jarrar
...I see the world inside and outside of America sympathizes, panting to
offer help…and I do not know whether it is an honest humanitarian feeling,
an adulation to the American government, or hypocrisy, and favor-seeking…
Because most of those who rushed to help, Arabs and non-Arabs, were almost
silent about what befell the Iraqis during their days of ordeal, and the
war against them, or perhaps they restricted themselves to shy protestatio!
ns, fearing the anger of their people… Who rushed to send humanitarian aid
to us while we were under the air and land raids? Who donated millions of
dollars to relieve us? Are the humans other than us worthy of life and aid,
while we aren't? I see some Arabic countries do this before the western
countries, to aid the Katrina hurricane victims… and they were the same who
abandoned us in our ordeal...

How the Free Market Killed New Orleans
Michael Parenti, Globalresearch.ca
The free market played a crucial role in the destruction of New Orleans and
the death of thousands of its residents. Forewarned that a momentous (force
5) hurricane was going to hit that city and surrounding areas, what did
officials do? They played the free market. They announced that everyone
should evacuate. Everyone was expected to devise their own way out of the
disaster area by private means, just like people do when disaster hits fre!
e-market Third World countries.

Right-Wing Death Threats: Dime a Dozen in Bushzarro World
Kurt Nimmo, Another Day in the Empire
Justin Raimondo is shocked David Horowitz's online magazine would post an
article calling for his murder (...) It should be indicative Horowitz has
not taken any heat for posting death threats. It is also indicative he
receives thousands and thousands of dollars from wealthy right-wingers, the
same way Hitler did. In a non-fascistic, non-Bushzarro world, death threats
would not be tolerated and Horowitz's site would b! e closed down...

THE US PLANS A LONG, LONG STAY IN IRAQ
Eric S. Margolis
The catastrophe inflicted by hurricane Katrina unfortunately obscured some
bombshell news about Iraq last week. The US Air Force’s senior officer,
Gen. John Jumper, stated US warplanes would remain in Iraq to fight
resistance forces and protect the American-installed regime `more or less
indefinitely.’ Gen. Jumper let the cat out of the bag. While President
George Bush hints at eventual troop withdrawals, the Pentagon is busy
building four major, permanent a! ir bases in Iraq that will require heavy
infantry protection...

Blame Game, Set and Match
Chris Floyd, Empire Burlesque
Look, it's really very simple. On Saturday, August 27, 2005 -- two days
before Hurricane Katrina made landfall -- President George W. Bush assumed
responsibility for the coordination of "all disaster relief efforts" in the
State of Louisiana. This is the specific, undisputed language of Bush's
declaration of a State of Emergency, issued that day by the White House,
and still available for viewing on the White House website. The
responsibility for coordinatin! g all disaster relief efforts in New
Orleans clearly rested with the White House...

Tal Afar Panicking Residents Flee US Fire
Mazen Ghazi, IOL Staff
A Fresh US and Iraqi offensive into the northern city of Tal Afar has sent
90 percent of its population into panicky flight, while the rest are
sending impassioned SOS messages as they were trapped inside homes by
imposed curfews. “We went to the neighboring city of Mosul several days ago
as the US offensive was preceded by power and phone outages, the signs of a
looming large-scale operation,” Abu Nabil told IslamOnline.net Tuesday,
September 6...!

Rockville (MD) High School History Teacher in Implicit Death Threat Against
Justin Raimondo
Mark Dankof of BATR News Writes Rockville (MD) High Principal on Raimondo
Death Threat
Mark Dank
I have read the statements by Michael Calderon, a history teacher at your
school, originally published by David Horowitz's Frontpage. It is clear to
me that these statements are both incendiary and irresponsible in their
less-than-veiled threat against Antiwar.com correspondent, Justin Raimondo,
and the other! listed parties in the article in question. Your institution
needs to take the strongest possible legal and disciplinary action against
Mr. Calderon, or be seen as being in either silent acquiescence or covert
agreement with the behavior in question...

SHAMING THE DEVIL
TvNewsLIES.org
...But for a moment, imagine the numbers of people who might have lived had
the corporate media not betrayed them. Imagine what might have been had
George Bush and his band of thugs been confronted at every turn by the hard
questions that should have been asked by honorable journalists? Just
imagine what might have been if this administration had been held
accountable for its lies and deceptions by the news networks and the press
corps. Imagine how many thousands of people might ! still be alive. Imagine
how many maimed bodies might still be whole. Imagine how much suffering
might have been avoided. Just imagine...

Bush and Third World America
Manuel Valenzuela
The images coming out of the Gulf Coast and New Orleans in particular have
been nothing short of unfathomable, nightmarish visions of anarchy and
misery, a ghoulish reality haunting our minds and lives. For what we see on
our television sets is a devastation of humanity never before seen or
experienced or felt within American shores. It is a surreal and up close
glimpse of natural and human made destruction reserved almost exclusively
for those peoples living in the ! underdeveloped nations of the south,
those far removed from our gluttonous and privileged lives...

New Orleans Catastrophe Down to Privatization
... And Catastrophic Failure of Government
Charlie Demerjian
What we are witnessing in New Orleans is nothing less than the abject
failure of government at the one task it is supposed to do, deal with
problems too big for private enterprise to handle. We pay taxes, we follow
rules, and get things that we normally would not do for ourselves in
return. It is a social contract, and in the wake of hurricane Katrina, it
was a worthless piece of paper...

Memo to the Media: Stop Enabling the White House Blame Game
Arianna Huffington
When it comes to managing political crises (as opposed to national ones),
the Bush White House has earned a reputation as masters of damage control.
And rightly so -- let’s see you get reelected after Abu Ghraib, the “Bin
Laden Determined to Strike in US” memo, no WMD, no bin Laden (dead or
alive), and “Mission (Most Definitely Not) Accomplished”...

After the Hurricane struck, Bush did NOTHING to mitigate the disaster,

Seniors, eating cake with John McCain, and playing guitar for the cameras.
Meanwhile, a US Navy ship with amphibious landing vehicles, hopsital
facilities with 600 beds, 9 million meals (MREs) and the capacity to make
100,000 gallons of water per day- sat unused for a week- awaiting Bu! sh’s

“The War in Iraq is Increasingly Unpopular and Must End”
Interview with Dennis Kucinich
Kevin Zeese , DemocracyRising
Dennis Kucinich, along with fellow Democrat Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) and
Republicans Walter Jones (R-NC) and Ron Paul (R-TX), introduced the first
bi-partisan bill calling for an exit strategy from Iraq (H.J.Res. 55).
Around this bill and other Iraq withdrawal efforts Republicans are quietly
meeting behind closed doors and progressive Democrats have formed the "Out
of Iraq Caucus! " to push for an exit strategy. Rep. Kucinich is leading
the Congress to a real consideration of an exit strategy from Iraq...
