The Tyranny Of Israel Over America
James Petras
What country has hundreds of spies, moles, and collaborators working for a
foreign government in the US for over 30 years with impunity? According to
former and present knowledgeable news reporters, some recently interviewed
by the FBI, federal agents point to the Israeli secret police Mossad as the
organizer and promoter of the espionage network. Over the past year, in one
of its biggest spy investigations ever, over 100 FBI agents from city
offices throughout the ! country have been interviewing thousands of
potential witnesses, informants and suspects in connection with Israeli
espionage in the United States...

Yet another US military crime - targeting Iraqi women (updated)
Truth About Iraqis
Why is it that news of these crimes simply will not abate? How many more
crimes will the US military stand accused of? An AP reporter revealed that
US seizure of Iraqi women to blackmail Iraqi male suspects had been used in
Iraq. "In one case, a secretive task force locked up the young mother of a
nursing baby, a U.S. intelligence officer reported. In the case of a second
detainee, one American colonel suggested to another that the! y catch her
husband by tacking a note to the family's door telling him "to come get his
wife."" So, here's the big question. Who started the spate of kidnappings
in post-Saddam Iraq?...

How U.S. used Iraqi wives for ‘leverage’
Suspected insurgents' spouses jailed to force husbands to surrender
The Associated Press
The U.S. Army in Iraq has at least twice seized and jailed the wives of
suspected insurgents in hopes of "leveraging" their husbands into
surrender, U.S. military documents show. In one case, a secretive task
force locked up the young mother of a nursing baby, a U.S. intelligence
officer reported. In the case of a second detainee, one American colonel
suggested to another th! at they catch her husband by tacking a note to the

Details of Sexual Perversion At Detention Centers More Serious Than Media
Reports; Pentagon In Possession Of Videos Of Boys Being Sodomized And
Detainee Statement Verifies This Fact.
Greg Szymanski
Although the U.S. government is in possession of video tapes of boys being
sodomized at Abu Ghraib and other detention centers, the evidence and
public clamor to end the torture and killing has done little to change the
mindset of the Bush administration. Lawyers for President Bush, including
U.S. Attorney Gen. Alberto! Gonzales, have tried to neatly package and
justify skirting international law regarding the illegal detention of
prisoners (...)The following are portions of a translation of a sworn
statement made by Abu Ghraib detainee Kasim Mehaddi Hilas, detainee No.
15551108, revealing just how deep and widespread the torture policies had
become. The Hilas statement was also used against Spc. Charles Grainer for
an August 2004 Article 39a hearing The details of the Hilas statement have
been watered down by the mainstream media as the acts committed against
detainees are far more perverse than just leading them around on a dog
leash, as previously reported

Baath Party statement
A statement concerning some symptoms of the psychological war
The Arab Baath Socialist Party
Since the first day of the occupation, the CIA started an active and
multilateral move in order to penetrate our party and to dismantle it as a
necessary requirement to consecrate the occupation and to strengthen its
basis attempting to destroy the Baath as an organization after the invasion
shock, and following the collective mass murder operations and the
detentions of thousands of milita! nts. This situation led to some
organizational interruption and some confusion. The first penetration mean
started when Iyad Allawi got in touch with some Baathists to convince them
that the Baath Party is finished and he is replacing it and they must join
him and call other Baathists to subscribe to the ranks of his new
organization... But the Baathist militants’ awareness, their unshakable
holding on their principles, their profound knowledge of the importance to
dismantle the Baath to help the Occupation succeed and get consecrated,
foiled the US plot using Allawi...

Iraq’s Thin Green Line
Gene C. Gerard OrBlog
OrbStandard Contributing Author
A retired Army colonel, Andrew Krepinevich, who served under three defense
secretaries, was hired by the Pentagon to write a confidential report on
the condition of the Army in Iraq. Although the report was intended for
Defense Department eyes only, a copy was leaked to various news agencies
today. It provides a much starker and honest view of the Army’s position in
Iraq than that which the Bush administration has provided to date. C!
olonel Krepinevich determined that the Army has become a "thin green line"
that might snap unless relief comes quickly...

Sunni al-Hurriyah neighborhood and kidnapped 16 people," the source said on

Using the Troops as a Yoke
E. R. Bills
In the January 24, 2006 edition of the LA Times, Joel Stein made the
incredibly relevant point that when we say we support the troops but not
the war, we give "soft acquiescence" to the politicians who started this
war under false pretenses and continue to conduct it shabbily (at best).
For this reason, Stein posits, he doesn’t support our troops. It goes
without saying that this gutsy conclusion is drawing fire from every corner
of the country. Conservative columnist Michel! le Malkin classified Stein
"one of the most loathsome people in America." People are threatening to
beat him up, telling him to leave the country, calling him slime, etc.,
etc...

Chilling dissent
The sordid history of the government spying on its own citizens
Bill Berkowitz, mediatransparency.org
From spying on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil right activists,
to the Cointelpro program that targeted the Black Panther Party, the
American Indian Movement and scores of anti-Vietnam War groups in the 1960s
and 1970s, to the Reagan Administration's spying on activists opposed to
its Central American wars during the 1980s, to police infiltrating groups
protesting at the Rep! ublican National Convention in 2000, spying on
Americans by assorted government agencies is as American as leaky breast
implants, cronies getting jobs in the Bush Administration, unsafe coal
mines, and Pat Robertson embarrassing himself on television on a near
weekly basis...

Impeach or Indict Bush and Cheney
Ronnie Dugger, Texas Observer
...Bush announced in 2002 his illegal presidential policy that the United
States can and will attack other nations first, waging war on them, when he
so decides. He is now waging, as if he were doing it in our names, a bloody
war of aggression against Iraq, which on the face of it is a crime against
humanity under the Nuremberg principles that we and our allies established
and enforced with hangings after World War II. The President, the
Vice-Preside! nt, and their factors sold this war to Congress with
twistings and lies that were crafted to infuriate and terrorize us about
Iraq’s alleged connections to Al Qaeda and mass-murder endangerments to us
from Iraq itself, all of which literally did not exist. In polls now six of
10 Americans do not believe the president is honest....

U.S. Soldier Convicted of Murder Receives No Jail Time While Nonviolent
Antiwar Protesters Sentenced to Six Months in Prison
Democracy Now!
...Mowhoush died after Welshofer put a sleeping bag over his head, wrapped
him in an electrical cord, covered his mouth and sat on his chest.
Welshofer was convicted of negligent homicide. Instead of jail time, the
military chose to fine Welshofer $6,000 and ordered him to spend the next
60 days restricted to his home, office and church. While Welshofer remains
free, four pea! ce activists in upstate New York are heading to jail this
week. The group, known as the St. Patrick's Four, were arrested in March
2003 after staging an act of civil disobedience inside a military
recruiting station by spilling containers filled with their own blood. The
protest occurred days before the U.S. invasion of Iraq...

Vanunu's trial - what happened
Mordechai Vanunu, peacepalestine
Today, Jan 25th, the trial against me began in the lower court of
Jerusalem. Together with me were my brother Meir, Gideon Spiro, Ein-Gil
from Tel-Aviv, and about dozen other supporters from Israel and overseas.
The original date was for the 15th of January, but the SHABAK moved it to
the 25th, today, Palestinian election day. So, no foreign media arrived and
only three local journalists were in the court. The state prosecution
presented the court w! ith copies of interviews by me with foreign media.
Most of this evidence was in the form of text or sound downloads from the

GI Special 4A18 - Harassed By Command - January 26, 2006
Thomas Barton
...The Department of Veterans Affairs deemed Bocanegra completely disabled
upon diagnosing his post-traumatic stress disorder. He fears life will
never be the same. Today, Bocanegra feels abandoned. He sees a psychiatrist
for about 10 minutes every three months. He takes one pill for anxiety and
another for depression. The doctor, he says, "just tells me, 'Take your
medication.’" After nearly five years in the military, he feels like
someone! else’s problem now. If he needs an eye exam or a dental visit, he
must drive four hours to San Antonio to the nearest VA hospital. Today,
Bocanegra can still hear children’s screams and see the fear in the faces
of the women he sighted down the barrel of his weapon. "You see these
horrible things in war. You just killed people," he says. "A lot of my
friends that came back say they would have preferred to die out there."...

Antiwar Group Infiltrated by the FBI
Carlos Miller, The Raw Story
The first time federal agents infiltrated the Broward Antiwar Coalition was
in July 2003, two months before a planned protest against President George
W. Bush, according to one member of the South Florida activist group. The
second time was in September 2003, two months before the infamous Free
Trade Area of the Americas meeting in downtown Miami, which resulted in
several lawsuits against the Miami Police Department for using excessive

ACLU Releases Government Photos
Jon Shirek
The ACLU of Georgia released copies of government files on Wednesday that
illustrate the extent to which the FBI, the DeKalb County Division of
Homeland Security and other government agencies have gone to compile
information on Georgians suspected of being threats simply for expressing
controversial opinions. Two documents relating to anti-war and
anti-government protests, and a vegan rally, prove the agencies have been
"spying" on Georgia residents unconstitutionally, t! he ACLU said. For
example, more than two dozen government surveillance photographs show
22-year-old Caitlin Childs of Atlanta, a strict vegetarian, and other
vegans picketing against meat eating, in December 2003. They staged their
protest outside a HoneyBaked Ham store on Buford Highway in DeKalb County...

Refute the Policies of Bush and Clinton, Resist the Nationalist-Globalist Class
When will Americans recognize that theirs is a polarized, politically
segregated society
John Stanton, GlobalResearch.ca
When will Americans recognize that theirs is a polarized, politically
segregated society, not unlike those they helped create in Iraq and
Palestine? When will they come to the realization that their political
process is nothing more than a collusive duopoly and, as such, borderline
totalitarian? There is ! no opposition political party of substance, of
courage and, of course, there’s no real choice between two political
parties. When will Americans refuse to participate in sham federal
elections? When will they recognize that all the accumulated data from
study after study clearly shows that America is in real crisis across the
entire socioeconomic, political and foreign policy spectrum...

Hysterical Republicans think Iraq moved WMD's to Syria
Political Cortex, NY
If you want to know where the hotbeds of hysterical Republican activity
are, you need look no further than Free Republic. Their site is a 24/7
hotbed of mass hysteria, where the screaming never stops. Their latest
screamfest is over a recent New York Sun article quoting an Iraqi general
under Saddam as saying that Saddam shipped WMD's to Syria in 2002 under
guise of flood relief. The Iraqi general's name is Georges Sada, who has
written a! book about it named "Saddam's Secrets." He says that Saddam
managed the shipment by taking out all of the seats of two Boeing civilian
aircraft and smuggling the WMD's to Syria. First of all, in evaluating this
claim, we have to take into account things that don't fit the facts...

Millions wasted in Iraq cash orgy
Tim Reid
AN audit of US reconstruction spending in Iraq has uncovered spectacular
misuse of tens of millions of dollars in cash, including bundles of money
stashed in filing cabinets, a US soldier who gambled away thousands and
stacks of newly minted notes distributed without receipts. The audit,
released on Wednesday by the US Special Inspector-General for Iraq
Reconstruction, describes a country in the months after the overthrow of
Saddam Hussein awash with US dollars and a "wi! ld west" atmosphere where
even multi-million-dollar contracts were paid for in cash...

GI Special 4A17 - See You In Hell Douglas Barber - January 25, 2006
Thomas Barton
...I have only pieces of Douglas Barber’s story, but I assure you it will
be out in full soon. It will bounce around concerned circles, somewhere in
the middle of the newspaper. The institution will report that things are
getting better and all the citizen zombies will nod and go back to eating
brains and watching tv. No real changes will take place and the veterans
will continue to suffer. We will become desensitized to stories! of veteran
suicides and the journalists will all say "We just did an article on that,
so we aren’t interested in another" and Americans will lose sight of the
issue until it happens to the neighbor’s son or Cousin Joe Bob. We don’t
have the attention span to really care about each other and it is always
someone else’s problem...
