CO Update - Gabby Wolff released from prison

11 May 2001

Dear Friends,

A brief update. CO Gabby Wolff was released from prison yesterday and
ordered to report in the military induction base on the same day. Following
advice received from prison personnel, he called the military liaison
officer's office in Jerusalem to reschedule this order for Sunday (13 May),
on the grounds that he was released too late from prison to come. However,
he was told that when he reports at the induction base, he will be tried for
absence without official leave (never trust prison staff).

Gabby is likely to be imprisoned for the third time on Sunday. The new
'offence' he will be charged of might lead to a longer prison sentence this
time. We'll have to wait and see.

COs Ido Harari and Hedai Levi continue to be held in Military Prison No. 4.
They both are due to be released on the 14th. It is not yet clear whether
and when they will be rearrested, although a second prison term is quite
likely at least in the case of Ido Harari.

All the best,
Sergeiy Sandler
