Dear Campaigners,

Antigua and Barbuda ratified the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons today (25 November), becoming the 34th state party. Only 16 further ratifications are needed for entry into force.

Antigua and Barbuda is the sixth member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to ratify the treaty, after Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Dominica.

In addition, three CARICOM members have signed but not yet ratified the treaty: Grenada, Jamaica, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Congratulations to our unflagging Caribbean campaign team, who have been regularly reaching out to all states in the region and assisting with their ratification processes. Their efforts are bearing fruit.
