No more wars

This is the rule that is not yet written in the U.S. Constitution, nor in any law; it is, however, written in the Charter of the United Nations, it is indeed the first and strongest principle of the Charter, that conflicts between peoples must not be resolved through war, but through negotiation.
The U.S. strongly desired and ratified this Charter.

 

But then they were the most heinous offenders of it. They have provoked five major wars:
Korea
Viet-Nam
Gulf War
Afghanistan
Iraq
They have invaded sovereign states under the pretext of Communism, and to export democracy.
Bush lied to the whole world, in order to bring the war in Iraq.
They have devastated peoples and territories; have suffered huge losses of men and goods.
And of these five wars they have lost four of them, as everyone knows.

 

A great nation, of 300 million inhabitants, is wasting huge assets in destruction and terror,
in armaments factories, in search of ever more sophisticated weapons, to kill more and more, and with more and more impunity; while it has 40 million of its own people living in poverty, it does not even have a complete and safe health service.

The last 500 U.S. Soldiers have left Iraq, where 4,500 U.S. Soldiers have died, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and a waste of nearly one billion dollars.

Is it now the turn of Iran?
We hope that President Obama is wise enough, honest enough.
Iran must be dealt with through friendship, benevolence, in negotiations involving many peoples; by creating great moral pressure.

War is the most atrocious of crimes, it is human butchery, nothing can justify it.

Basta con le guerre

 

È questa la norma che ancora non sta scritta nella Costituzione né in alcuna legge Usa;

sta scritta però nello Statuto delle Nazioni Unite, è anzi il primo e più forte principio della Statuto, che i conflitti tra popoli si devono risolvere non con la guerra ma con la trattativa.

Gli Usa hanno fermamente voluto e ratificato questo Statuto.

 

Ma poi ne sono stati i più atroci trasgressori. Hanno scatenato cinque importanti guerre:

Corea

Viet-Nam

Guerra del Golfo

Afghanistan

Iraq

Hanno invaso stati sovrani, col pretesto del comunismo, di esportare la democrazia.

Bush ha mentito al mondo intero, pur di portare la guerra in Iraq.

Hanno devastato popoli e territori; hanno avuto perdite enormi di uomini e di beni.

E di queste cinque guerre ne hanno perdute quattro, come tutti sanno.

 

Un grande popolo, 300 milioni di abitanti, che spreca enormi beni nella distruzione e nel terrore,

nelle fabbriche d’armi, nella ricerca di armi sempre più sofisticate, per poter uccidere sempre di più e sempre più impunemente;

 mentre ha in sé 40 milioni di poveri, non ha neppure un servizio sanitario completo e sicuro.

 

Gli ultimi 500 soldati Usa hanno lasciato l’Iraq, dove sono morti 4.500 soldati statunitensi, centinaia di migliaia di irakeni,  con una spreco di circa mille miliardi di dollari.

Ora sarà la volta dell’Iran?

Noi speriamo che il Pres. Obama sia abbastanza saggio, abbastanza onesto.

Con l’Iran si deve trattare con amicizia, con benevolenza; coinvolgendo nella trattativa molti popoli; sviluppando una grande pressione morale.

 

La guerra è il più atroce dei crimini, è il macello umano, nulla può giustificarla.
